40 Days for Life is occurring from September 23rd to November 1st. This year, there is a new director, Kathryn Amdahl. Joanna Hyatt, John Repsold’s daughter, passed the campaign off to Kathryn and her team this year. 40 Days for Life runs prayer campaigns around the globe for 40 days and each consists of: prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful vigil outside of your local abortion facility.
Being that it is a peaceful vigil, we ask that participants refrain from bringing graphic images, horrific costumes, and yelling at passersby. We are there to gently change hearts and minds. As a Christian Community, we must remember who we represent and the people we are there for. God has called us to take a stand for those who can’t speak for themselves. We are there for God and because of the babies and all of their moms and dads, all of which get wounded with abortion. Even if we only change one heart, that is a victory. Don’t get discouraged!
Due to Covid, we are suggesting face masks, social distancing, and general caution and regard for who you are around. Since the vigil will be held outside of Planned Parenthood on Indiana, that should not be a problem.
In order to sign up, contact Kathryn at
ewustudentsforlife@gmail.com or go to 40daysforlife.com and look under the locations tab for the Spokane vigil location. We hope that you and your parish will join us in prayerfully partnering with us in reclaiming the sanctity of human life for the Author of Life. Should you have any questions, have no hesitation in reaching out to Kathryn Amdahl at 509-288-1670. Thank you.
What 40 Days for Life is: 40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses.
Praying that this works for you!
Sincerely,
Kathryn Amdahl
