Good afternoon Eagle Nation! Here are the three things you need to know this week from the desk of Mr. Berry.
1) Student Section: No Uniforms Tomorrow!
What's New: Tomorrow, Thursday (9/3) is our very first School Spirit Day! Any student wearing the OLP T-shirt purchased at last year's Spring Gala can be out of uniform. In addition, any student who hasn't yet purchased said shirt can also be out of uniform as long as they wear blue or green.
Why It's Important: We want to celebrate our successful return to campus as well as show our Eagle Nation pride. This is typically a Friday tradition, however, with campus being closed Friday, we didn't want to miss out.
What's Next: For the remainder of September, Fridays will be Spirit Day, where students can wear their Spring Gala T-shirt. As we have many new students this year who weren't given the opportunity to purchase the gala T-shirt, we are also extending the option of wearing our school colors of blue & green to join in the out of uniform fun. Any student interested in purchasing the T-shirt can still do so via the link below, before Friday, September 11th. Beginning in October, only those students wearing the T-shirt will be allowed out of uniform on Spirit Days.

2) Homework for Parents
What's New: Student Handbooks, Photo releases, School Directory release, and other annual supplemental information has been made available and requires your electronic signature.
Why It's Important: Every year, we require five minutes of your time to read through and sign-off on various agreements to ensure we are in compliance. These documents include our student handbook, a photo release waiver, as well as new items that have been added this year, as a result of our Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan (PPRP).

3) Volunteer Opportunities (in a non-visitor world)
What's New: Despite our strict "no visitors" policy during the early part of this school year, there are still ways in which you can volunteer and help out at Our Lady of Peace.
Why It's Important: Classes are still in need of room parents to assist in various remote or virtual capacities and our school is always accepting nurse's office donations, including facemasks, bandaids, Clorox wipes and other supplies.
