Hi there, everyone! I wanted to provide you with an update on how everything was going with the COVID situation. As probably all of you know, just about 2 weeks ago now, I was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Yesterday, I was officially released from quarantine after what appears to have been a very mild case of the virus. I never had, except for maybe 1 day, some of the more overt symptoms & only had a few mild symptoms that lasted for a day or two, throughout the week. Fr. Clyde is doing well as well. He was asked to quarantine out of caution since he & I come into close contact with each other, but he never displayed any symptoms.
We are planning to return to "normal" next week. The office @ St. Pat's will open on Tuesday & the office @ St. Vincent De Paul will open on Wednesday. We will start the celebration of public Mass again, returning to the normal Mass schedule on Tuesday, September 8th.
Thank you again for your prayers, understanding, & support! They are all greatly appreciated! I ask for prayers as well as I will be leaving on my pre-planned annual retreat on Monday, September 14th. I am going back into "isolation" in a sense, renting a cabin in the woods & spending some time in solitude in prayer & reflection listening to God's voice. I will be away Monday to Friday of that week.
Have a great week!
Fr. John
