It is a Catholic tradition to bless animals on or around the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi which is always on October 4th, a Sunday this year.
Therefore, we will bless animals on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00am on the patio near the parish office, under the shade of the ramada. We will have you and your pet blessed and sprinkled with holy water within about 20 minutes. (picture below is from 2012.)
Please bring your pets on a leash or in a holder. Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, snakes, horses, donkeys, hamsters, or whatever furry or feathered friend you have; all are welcome as long as you take good care of them and avoid hurting or scaring the pets of others.
We’ll see you under the shade as we prayerfully give thanks to God for the creatures he has made for our enjoyment, companionship, emotional support and assistance. They are all signs of God's bountiful goodness.
