Dear Sacred Heart Family:
On Saturday, September 12, the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary, there is a perpetual Rosary being said at the Sacred Heart Grotto. We are encouraging families to sign-up in half-hour increments to say the Rosary between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
During the Month of October – the month of the Most Holy Rosary – we are asking 10 volunteer families to host Our Lady of Rock Springs for three days. The host families will recite the Rosary each evening at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to host Our Lady, please sign-up here.
The Rosary is primarily a scriptural prayer and draws its mysteries from the New Testament and is centered on the great events of the Incarnation and Redemption. St. John Paul II called the Rosary his favorite prayer, in which we meditate with Mary upon the mysteries which she as a mother meditated on in her heart. Let us consider this beautiful prayer of the Rosary as a means that we too can use in order to draw closer to Jesus and Mary by meditating on the great mysteries of our salvation.
