Flu Shots: If you have seen the news recently, you have heard recommendations from the CDC that everyone get a flu shot this season to help prevent what the NY Times has referred to as a 'twindemic' - a convergence of the flu season with an upsurge of COVID-19, that could overburden our hospitals. Since a vaccine for COVID-19 isn't yet available, vaccinating yourself against the flu is a first step in protecting yourself and your loved ones.
The St. Nicholas Health Ministry is partnering with Walgreens and on Sunday, October 11, 2020 after the 11:30 AM Mass, Walgreens will be on site at St. Nicholas to administer flu shots to parishioners who register in advance.
To Register: Please contact Gloria Hynes at the email address below
with your name, age, and insurance provider. Those 65 and older will receive a more potent vaccine. Walk-ins cannot be accepted.
Fees: No cost for most health insurances, and $25.00 for those without insurance, payable in cash or check only. Medicare will cover the cost for those 65 and older.
Please bring your insurance card the day of vaccination.
Kaiser patients are not eligible.
