Archbishop Hartmayer has called the faithful of the Archdiocese to join in a National Day of Prayer and Fasting next Thursday, September 24. The intentions of the day are "mercy and healing for our country, as well as the conversion of our own hearts."
The national day is organized by the apostolate Acts XXIX. Concerned for our nation, they were inspired by the desire of Abraham Lincoln to hold an annual national day of prayer and fasting. You can read more here.

Meet Fr. Gerardo
I have been meaning to introduce you to Father Gerardo Ceballos Gonzalez. Father Gerardo is Archbishop Hartmayer's priest secretary, Master of Liturgical Ceremonies, and the Archdiocese's Associate Vocations Director. He has recently taken residence at the rectory, and will be assisting us with Masses here and there as needed.
A native of Michoacán, Mexico, Fr. Gerardo earned two Master's degrees in philosophy and theology before being ordained in the Archdiocese in 2016. He has been serving at St. Michael's Catholic Church and their John Paul II Mission in Gainesville prior to his new appointment. Please welcome him when you see him!
Help Compassion Kitchen Feed Atlanta
From April to August, the Compassion Kitchen Project connected struggling restaurants with struggling families and delivered over 44,000 meals to hungry Atlantans. With your help, they want to continue serving thousands of meals through December.
Men's Club Returns from Hiatus

I am happy to serve as Men's Club first speaker as they resume their speaker series online via Zoom. I will speak briefly and host a question-and-answer session afterward.
Beyond fellowship, one of the key goals of the Men’s Club is to encourage men to become a positive reflection of Jesus — at home, at work, and in the community.
Blessing of the Animals
Saturday, October 3, 10:30 AM-11:00 AM.
We will celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, with a special blessing for your pets. Drive through the Alley with your pet dogs, cats, hamsters, or other animals. Children can bring a stuffed animal.
Life Chain on Respect Life Sunday
Sunday, October 4, 2:00 PM.
An event hosted by the Archdiocese, we will prayerfully gather along the sidewalk on Peachtree Road in front of the Cathedral, standing in prayerful silence holding peaceful signs, praying for our nation for an end to abortion, and spreading awareness that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death. No sign up is necessary.
