Dinner and "Virtual" Event
Tuesday, Oct. 6

Parish Hall
The Embrace Life Ministry, together with the Knights of Columbus, will host a dinner that is open to all. Though admission is free, every donation made at the dinner will benefit Right to Life of Indianapolis.
Seating is limited! Only 12 tables are planned (4 people per table unless family), and COVID-19 restrictions for seating and serving will be followed. Dress is casual.
The evening will include:
- Readings by parish RTL essay winners
- Guest speaker Chantel Cunningham with an update on local efforts regarding Safe Harbor Baby Boxes
- Livestream of the Celebrate Life Dinner in Indianapolis with keynote speaker Ryan Bomberger.
Matthew Kelly Event
The Matthew Kelly event that was to take place here at the parish in December has been canceled. It is now a virtual event. Those who already purchased tickets should have received an email directly from Dynamic Catholic with additional information. Marian University's San Damiano Scholarship program is now accepting nominations.
This scholarship is for high school seniors interested in working in parish, healthcare, education, and not-for profit settings. If you know a young woman or man who would be interested, fill out a nomination form or encourage them to request an application.
Support for Children
Isaiah 117 House provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement. A group in Boone County is working to build an Isaiah 117 House in our area. If you are interested in supporting this effort, the next expansion meeting is Sept 21 at 7 pm at Freedom Church in Lebanon.

Most charities fall into one of the categories listed in last week's poll, and when asked where your charity of choice lies, a majority fell into the humanitarian realm.
This includes offering relief to the hungry and poor, aiding victims of human trafficking and natural disasters, as well as fighting for other human rights. Humanitarian charities provide monetarily and promote welfare through social reforms.
St. Alphonsus parishioners are very generous in support of various charities.
