Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Some of our annual ministries are about to recommence. CCD (children's religious education) will begin shortly and will be online at least until Christmas (we'll reassess the situation when 2021 begins).
Also, RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults– the program for people converting to Catholicism and for Catholic adults who were never confirmed to receive confirmation) begins the first Sunday in October (the 4th). If you know anyone interested in becoming Catholic now is the time to ask him to join the Church! Also, if you've never received confirmation, now is the time to get ready for the graces God wants to give you. Just contact the St. Joseph's and we'll help you get started.
Also, this week we're installing a Boxcast system in the church to live-stream and record Masses every Sunday. We've been using our cellphones, but this installation will provide us a better and more permanent system. I've wanted to install this equipment for months, but we've been waiting for the equipment to become available– everyone now wants to record events and there was a waitlist for the equipment. Hopefully, it will be up and running very soon!
More people are returning to our Masses and it's a pleasure to see parishioners I haven't seen in months. As the Masses get fuller we may have to add more Masses because we currently can only have 25% capacity in the church. We will make sure that Mass is available for everyone who wants to attend.
In Christ,
Fr. Boniface
