Life Teen Begins This Sunday...

We will be building our Life Teen Community, Sunday, September 20, 2020

from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Parish Hall. If you are joining in person, please bring your mask. Any high school student, Catholic or not, is invited to join us as we journey closer to Christ, together.

God created us to live in community. Even with the COVID struggles, we will gather in person or via zoom. God has created great minds to allow those who cannot join in person, to join on line. Below is the Zoom meeting information.

This Zoom meeting will last about an hour. The in person group will begin with a meal at 6:00 pm. Entrance to the group via Zoom will begin at 6:15-6:20. Please be patient and hangout in the waiting room until we can all come together.

Who Should Come...

High School Teens with Life Teen Experience. Please come and share how Life Teen has helped you and in what events you participated. You are needed! And we're here for you!
High School Teens preparing for Confirmation. As part of Confirmation you should participate in Life Teen to learn who your peers are and what they need you for and what you need the them. We will be covering many of the other lessons from Chosen or the topics as part of Life Teen Catechesis for all high schoolers.
High School Teens who want to learn more about the Catholic Church. Your friends are welcome to come. They will be sent home with a registration form to bring back if they will be regularly attending. This is no commitment to join the Church.
Parents of High School Teens are invited to attend. If you plan on attending more than once, it will be necessary for you to complete Safe and Sacred through the Diocese of Lafayette. Follow this link. Please be sure your teen is comfortable with you being present. We need teens to be free to share their questions, concerns and thoughts that might not be expressed when parents are present.

We are in need of parents to help prepare and serve meals for Life Teen and Confirmation. Please use the signup genius to select the week that your family can serve the teens of St. Joseph. If you have any meal ideas that can be prepared fairly easily send them to Norma.

Additional Dates will be added soon. Thank you for your assistance.

We will also be needing help cleaning the worship space after 11 am Mass in order for Life Teen or Confirmation to return for prayer or meditation. This was not completed until Monday when there was nothing happening, but since some of our lessons may need us to return, more volunteers are needed. If you are available, please contact the parish office. Thank you.
