Dear friends and parishioners,
This morning, Jesus tells us the parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard. One scholar suggested that a better title would be "The Surprising Salaries." Our Father in heaven pours out his infinite grace on all those who come to him, whether they come early or late. New workers in the vineyard is always reason for celebration! New members of the Kingdom is a sign that the Spirit is at work!
This morning, at our 9:00am Mass, we will have four baptisms. Through the water of baptism, the risen life of Jesus Christ will come upon these four new members of our community. Their sins will be washed away and salvation will take root in their soul. I'd like to thank Deacon Kelley for his work with them preparing them for this day. Please keep them and their families in prayer. Pray, also, that more and more members of our community might hear that loving invitation of the Lord.
"O, Blood and Water, which poured forth from the heart of Christ as a fountain of mercy for us, I trust in you."

Peace,
Fr. Lewis
