Happy Sunday!
Today is the feast day of St. Vincent de Paul. St. Vincent was an adamant defender of the poor. He took to heart Jesus' words, "whatever you do to the least of my people, you do to me." He found ways to help the sick and the poor in France that were previously unheard of, by establishing an order of priests and sisters whose primary focus was outreach and service. To this day, the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity serve God around the world by focusing on the least of his people. Let Saint Vincent be a reminder to us all of our call to serve by looking out for all of our brothers and sisters, but especially those in most need of our help.
We are less than 2 weeks away from the Mexican Supper, and there is still much to do. If you have not yet done so, please click on the link below and sign up to volunteer. There are a variety of ways to help and the more people who volunteer, the lighter the work will be. Also, please be sure to read through the PTO email that was sent out on Friday. We need everyone to sign up for PTO teams and to vote to approve the budget for the year.
Lastly, please read below about free lunches. We are very fortunate to be able to join the Summer Food Service Program to offer free lunches for all students through December! All families are automatically enrolled and will begin receiving free lunches on Monday. Even better, the program is retroactive to the beginning of the school year, so any money that you have been charged has been put back onto your lunch account. This program will help us by building our Lunch Fund which allows us to continue providing fresh lunches daily.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! I hope that you all have a fabulous week!
God Bless,
Mr. O'Neill
