Parish Secretary Position Open
A note from Kellie Trudeau: My husband Joe is now deployed overseas for an entire year with the National Guard and with four young kids at home – including two in “virtual” school -- I have decided to resign my position as parish secretary to focus on my family. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be your secretary these last three years. I couldn’t have done so much without all the support and encouragement I received from all of you. Please contact the office or Fr. Mike if you, or anyone you know, might be interested in being the secretary of the amazing Catholic Parishes of South Stevens County. I will be staying around until mid-October to hopefully help a little with the transition. And please don’t hesitate to keep in touch.
Annual Catholic Appeal 2020
Last weekend was ACA Commitment Weekend for the Diocese of Spokane. The goals set up by the Diocese for each of our parishes are:
St. Mary’s (Chewelah) $35,137
Sacred Heart (Springdale) $2,936
Holy Ghost (Valley) $5,994.
If each parish household participates, we can surely reach our goal. Once each parish surpasses their goal, 100% of the overage is returned back to the parish. By now you should have received the ACA materials in the mail (although there was a Post Office delay) from Bishop Daly and we ask that you respond with a generous spirit. Mail in your ACA envelopes or drop them off in the collection basket for us to return to the Diocese of Spokane. You can also go online to dioceseofspokane.org/give

Saturdays at St. Mary's 2:30-3:30 pm
NEW Wednesdays at St. Mary's 5:30-6:30 pm
Fr. Mike is now available for Confessions every Saturday from 2:30-3:30 pm at St. Mary of the Rosary, and every Wednesday at 5:30-6:30 pm . Father's Corner Week of Oct. 4
When was the last time you thought about the spiritual realm? Angel means messenger and each angel has a particular mission from God. There are nine known choirs of angels. Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones make up the inner circle surrounding the throne of God. They praise God and are the strongest most powerful angels. Cherubim also guard things as well. Dominions, Virtues and Powers govern the forces of nature. When a miracle happens such as a cure or a miraculous survival, one of these angels are involved. Principalities serve to guard nations, dioceses, cities and the like. Archangels are sent on missions of greater importance. Angels is the choir where our guardian angels come from. There are at least one angels for every person plus all the other angels.

Mass is celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays of the month at at 6:00 pm.
8 am Sunday Mass Schedule
Masses every Sunday at Holy Ghost
St. Joseph’s at Jump off Joe is closed for the season and 8 am masses will be every Sunday at Holy Ghost in Valley..
