Reflection

“The stone the builders rejected has become the corner stone…” (Matthew 21:42) Jesus was rejected by the religious and political leaders of his day, as well as ordinary citizens. Living a stewardship lifestyle may cause you to be “rejected” by others in today’s society. For example, saying grace before a meal in a restaurant may attract some strange looks from some. But to others it is sign that God is alive and well!

Eucharistic Adoration and Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots

Nine Tuesday evenings from October 13 thru December 8 at 6:45pm in St. Mary’s Church during Eucharistic Adoration which will take place from 6:30 -7:30 pm.

During the nine weeks of the Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots, we will lift up the “knots” in our lives to Mary and pray that God’s grace and mercy will untangle them.

Whether you drop your envelope off at Mass or mail it to the pastoral center, we are most grateful during this time when we are all experiencing financial challenges.

Ministry Sign-Ups for Weekend Masses

Below is a sign-up genius for the Masses in October. Greeters before Mass and Cleaners after Mass have been signing up or just helping out when they are at Mass.

Lectors, please sign up for one or two Masses and then check again in the middle of the month to see if there are some Masses that still need to be covered.

Eucharistic Ministers. We ask one EM to sign up for each Mass to help with the distribution of communion. Stop into the sacristy before the first time you serve so that Fr. Mike or Fr. Javier can go over the procedure with you before Mass.
