Happy October and Happy Fall!
Below you will find the recording for the October Parent meeting. It is posted on the A Family of Faith Resource Page as well. Don't forget to watch Bishop Barron's video on prayer too! He offers some wonderful tips on how to improve your prayer life.
Try choosing one thing to put into action this month. I loved Bishop Barron's tip to pray the Jesus Prayer (attached below). It's quick and easy. I think I am going to try praying it in the morning, midday and at night. Share your thoughts by leaving a comment on this email. What is one thing you are going to try doing this month to improve your prayer life. START SIMPLE!
OCTOBER EVENTS:
Outreach for the month: We are collecting candy or non-candy treats for trick or treating to be sent to our twin parishes in Appalachia for Halloween. If you can help out, deliver your donations to the church and place them in the box in the Commons. One of our parishioners will be delivering the goods to Appalachia on the 19th, so donations are needed quickly. Thank you!
Outdoor Pet Blessing
Monday | October 26 | 6:00pm
Bring your pet on a leash, in a crate or a bowl.
Trunk or Treat
Friday | October 30 | 6:30pm
Bring your car, trunk decorated and treats to pass out!
Have your kids dress in their costumes and have some fun!

Did you forget to get your materials?
There are still some bags left for pick-up. Please don't forget to pick up yours! The building is open from 10:00am-8:00pm. You will need a mask to enter. Enter by the bell tower and walk to the right. Turn right down the second hallway on the right and take the bag with your last name. If your bag is not there or something is missing, please contact Katie Visconti at kvisconti@saint-mikes.org.
