EDGE FOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE
Get your middle schooler and family together to "trick-or-treat so others can eat!" collecting food from family, friends and neighbors as donations to support the St. Martha HAAM Food Drive.
Donations will be categorized into different point values - you will total up the points of the items you collect, and the family with the most points wins a gift card to the restaurant of their choice!
How to participate:
1. Brainstorm ways to collect donations from family, friends and neighbors
(i.e. make phone calls or place pre-made bags with a note on their door steps and arrange a time to pick-up the food. Or if you are trick-or-treating, ask for donations instead of candy!)
Pre-made notes and bags are available in a box outside the youth center, or print out the attachments below.
2. After collecting the food, print out a list of requested Food and Hygiene Items to see point values and total your family team score.
See the list below to know the point values for each donation item - you can specifically request these items, or just collect what you can and see what your total score ends up being.
3. Bring collected donations to the Church after any weekend Mass on October 31 & November 1 to drop off at the HAAM food truck.
4. Submit a picture of you dropping off the bags and a copy of your scorecard to Lisa at lisah@stmartha.com by November 2.
The Edge teen and family with the most points will get to choose the restaurant of your choice!
