Picture Retakes Rescheduled- Picture retake day is rescheduled for grades 9-11 for Wednesday, November 11. If your student is fully remote or has last name with A-L and plan to have their picture taken, please email Mrs. Strippy at strippy@elyriacatholic.com. She will notify teachers that your child is excused first period due to being here promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students with last names M-Z and are getting retakes, they will be called down to the Auditorium. We had several students who did not get their picture taken in August so here is their chance! To order retakes please visit mylifetouch.com and use ID# EVTTBGHNQ. Please bring the original order packets to retakes on Wednesday, November 11 at 8am.
Remote Learning - Important!
As more students are learning remotely, please be mindful that those attending remotely need to be visible at all times, no use of icons are permitted. Classroom engagement is important and beneficial to ALL students. Please remember that the remote uniform is a Panther Pride shirt and that students should be in a classroom type setting which is conducive to learning.
A-L & M-Z Calendar Update - REMINDER - Please be aware that due to the IOWA Tests on November 3, the A-L & M-Z calendar has been adjusted. The updated calendars can be found HERE and on our website. Thank you for your attention to the change.

CAMPUS MINISTRY NEWS:
Thank you to Grafton Correctional Institution
Thank you to the men at the Grafton Correctional Institution for donating cloth masks to Elyria Catholic! If your student forgets their mask at home or requires a new one, we have plenty of masks available in the office that were hand crafted by these men. With all of their classes and programs canceled this past summer due to COVID, they wanted to put their time towards helping others. Throughout the summer they were able to complete over 18,000 masks and we are happy to be the recipients of their generosity.
Hispanic Heritage Month
To commemorate the recent Hispanic Heritage Month, we will be setting up a Dia de los Muertos altar to remember Mexico's Day of the Dead. Students are encouraged to email pictures of their deceased loved ones to add to the display. Pictures can be emailed to slanzola@elyriacatholic.com.

The Nord Center
In order to meet the needs of our students, The Counseling Department will be joined by a counselor from The Nord Center. Grace Ford will be available to virtually meet with students on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please contact Mr. Kleban or Miss Keppler if you feel that your student(s) would benefit from this service.

HOMECOMING NEWS:
- Spirit Rally on October 30 at 2:15pm. This is a A-L in person learning day. All remote students will still have online classes that day, but are invited to come for the rally. The Spirit Rally will be held at Knights of Columbus Field. Students will be seated socially distant and masks will be required. At the rally, our Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned!
