The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has no comment regarding the reported remarks by Pope Francis in the documentary, Francesco.
Whenever the Holy Father has a new pastoral direction to communicate, he conveys it to the bishops directly. Archbishop Schnurr has received no such information on this matter. The Catholic teaching of the nature of marriage being between a man and a woman is unchanging.
Catholic in Recovery is a nonprofit organization that seeks to serve those suffering from addictions and unhealthy attachments – including alcoholism, drug addiction, pornography addiction, sex and relationship addiction, compulsive overeating and food addictions, gambling addiction, codependency and the impact on family, and general fear, control, and anxiety. The organization was founded by Scott Weeman, author of The Twelve Steps and the Sacraments: A Catholic Journey Through Recovery, after finding healing and new life through twelve-step recovery and the sacramental love and mercy provided by the Catholic Church. Beginning this Sunday, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains will be offering this recovery program on Sunday nights, 7:00-8:00 p.m., in the Undercroft.
Join Us for Mass!
Public Masses have resumed with safety measures and precautions in place. Catholics remain dispensed from their Sunday obligation. We will continue the live-stream while the dispensation is in place.
As a reminder, Ohio's mask mandate requires everyone above the age of 10 to wear facial coverings in public indoor spaces that are not a residence. This includes St. Margaret of York. Please familiarize yourself with the full details of the order. Thank you. Click here for details
