We were alerted this morning that an attendee at the Sunday October 11, 2020 11AM STI Mass was diagnosed as positive with COVID-19 five or six days after that Mass. When the attendee came to Mass, s/he tested OK on the temperature scanner, sat in isolated seats, and came into contact with no one. Again, it wasn't until several days after the Mass that s/he felt ill and subsequently tested positive. S/he HAS NOT been back to Mass since 10/11/2020.
This occurred over two weeks ago and we've heard of no other incidents. Additionally, we sanitize churches after each Mass. Thus, there is no need to quarantine or change any of our parish operations at this point. However, it is a good reminder that if you or anyone in our facilities falls ill to COVID symptoms or tests positive to alert us as soon as possible.
Please continue to pray for all those who are suffering with this pandemic illness and for those who care for them.
