What's New: Despite a global pandemic, the snowiest October on record and unseasonably cold temperatures, the 2nd Annual OLP Pumpkin Patch sold out of inventory a day early and raised over $5,000.
Why it's Important: The odds were clearly stacked against this year's patch, but thanks to a committed group of volunteers who spent many a cold evening on the front lawn facing 54th Street, their hard work paid off. The driving force behind this annual tradition has been fostering a sense of community between our school, our church and the surrounding families in our neighborhood. In a time when many of our favorite seasonal celebrations have been canceled or downsized, OLP was able to adopt appropriate safety measures AND double the number of pumpkins sold.
What's Next: If you see Charlie Allen, Bridget Voge, Anne Peterson, Katie (& Colin) Blakely, or Jill Swarthout, along with all of the other volunteers who helped by covering a shift or promoting the event around the community, please be sure to congratulate them on their tremendous accomplishment.
