Well, this may be the last message from me for a while. Although I will TRY to keep you and the kids updated on my progress a couple times while I am home. Mrs. Horak will be here for you and your kids starting Tuesday. She is excited to be here, but remember not all things will be the same. I have asked her to write a newsletter each week but it will come home hard copy.
No school Monday, Nov. 9 it is a teacher work day. Early dismissal Friday, Nov.13 at 12:55.
One thing I will definitely miss while I am home is the excitement in your kids when I teach Social Studies and teach them fun ways of learning their multiplication facts. The electricity in my room this week in both math and SS was FUN! We started our unit on slavery and have used the Addy series from American Girl as an add-in to the unit. The boys said at first that they were not going to like this, but they are finding out they are loving it! Mrs. Clarahan stopped in on Wed. during SS and made the mistake of asking what is going on in our room...every kid starting telling her!!! This is fun to see and I will miss all the excitement your kids show.
We will finish chapter 4 in math this week and test on Thursday.
I am still only an email away if anyone needs anything while I am home, please don't hesitate to contact me. Not guaranteeing my response will be immediate, but I will respond.
ALSO, a reminder that I will be contacting you next week for a conference. You all have the time you signed up for and who I will contact. Will talk to all of you then!
Everyone have a great weekend and great upcoming holidays, I will see you all again soon!
