Dear Parishioners-
Many of you have been asking who I am and why you are seeing so much of me. In September I moved into residence at the Cathedral. I will be helping out during my time here, so you will continue to see me around for a while.
By the grace of God, I was ordained to the priesthood in 2016 with Fr. Paul Strommer. My first assignment was in Grand Rapids. This will be the second time I have lived in Duluth, the first being my summer as a Deacon when I was assigned to St. James, St. Elizabeth, and St. Margaret Mary. I am excited to get to know Duluth better.
I was raised in Brainerd and am the 4th out of 5 kids. The family has grown a bit as I now have 16 nieces and nephews, so it's always fun when we get together.
Growing up in the country I fell in love with the outdoors, so I like to get outside no matter what season it is. I enjoy sports, playing games, painting and reading, and I am always willing to learn something new. Hopefully while I am here, we will be able to get to know each other a little better.
In Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Charlie
