Fr. Dat's Update from Tuesday:
I am pleased to share some GREAT NEWS with our community! Today marks day ten of our quarantine, as recommended by CDC, since the day Fr. David Michael was tested positive for Covid. At this point, Fr. David Michael has well recovered and is symptom free. Earlier today, he mentioned he is feeling really good and is excited to get back to the parish! Through the guidance of the CDC and our medical and professional experts – Fr. David Michael and myself are ready to return to the Parish! The safety of our parish families has always been our utmost concern, which is why we take great care and patience to go through the proper protocols and continue to rely on the wisdom and guidance of the medical experts and professionals around us. We have missed you all dearly and cannot wait to return to the parish and serve.
Fr. David Michael will take a few more days of rest, and slowly transition back into the parish for this weekend’s Masses and other activities. While my test result came back negative and I have exhibited no symptoms of the virus, I have remained in quarantine out of an abundance of caution. I am excited to share that we will return to our normal liturgical schedule TOMORROW – which includes Daily Mass, Divine Mercy Holy Hour, and Reconciliation – all of which will be ON CAMPUS. We will still stream Mass and the Divine Mercy Holy Hour for those unable to attend, but I am excited to open our doors once more for these beautiful Liturgical Celebrations!
We are both deeply moved by the incredible support and generosity this parish has shown us during these last two weeks. While I have missed seeing our community, my time in isolation has given me even more time to pray for every single one of our parishioners. Please join me in continuing to pray for those who are sick and in need of God’s healing. I look forward to seeing you very soon. God bless you!
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Dat Hoang
