Tonight's Speaker
Mary Beth Bonacci has been giving talks on love, relationships and chastity across the United States and internationally for . . .well . . . her entire adult life. She was among the first Catholic speakers to introduce audiences to St. John Paul II’s beautiful Theology of the Body. She is the founder of Real Love, Inc., an organization dedicated to promoting respect for God’s gift of human sexuality. Her book Real Love, based on the Theology of the Body, has been translated into ten languages. She is also the author of We’re on a Mission from God, writes a monthly column for Catholic newspapers and contributes regularly to the Catholic Match Institute blog. Her educational video, Sex and Love: What’s a Teenager to Do? was awarded the Crown Award for best youth curriculum. She spoke to 75,000 people at World Youth Day in Denver, Colorado, and 22,000 at the TWA Dome during the St. John Paul II’s visit to St. Louis. She was featured in the PBS documentary Colorado Experience: Pope John Paul II about the Holy Father at Denver’s World Youth Day.
Mary Beth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of San Francisco, a Master’s degree in Theology of Marriage and Family from the John Paul II Institute, and an honorary doctorate from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. No longer a full time speaker, for the past 15 years she has paid the bills and funded her ministry by working as an award-winning real estate agent with RE/MAX Alliance here in Denver.
