Good Afternoon,
What a strange time to have Thanksgiving? With a surge of cases and many of us unable to get together with family like we would like, it hardly seems like a time to celebrate and give thanks. However, I would imagine that is exactly what God would want us to do. It has been a hard year and things seem to be getting worse. Yet, there is still much to be thankful for. Let’s remember all that God has blessed us with and all that he has promised us. This year, we will jump right from Thanksgiving into Advent where we will prepare to welcome Jesus all over again. Let’s make this a time of faithfulness and joy, even if it might be different than what we are used to.
We will have a short week this week as we will have no school on Wednesday – Friday to celebrate Thanksgiving. I want to reiterate the importance of being cautious during the week. Please be sure that you are taking all possible steps to keep you and your family safe. This may mean a change in routine from what you usually do, but this year is anything but usual. I appreciate all of your help in keeping the students and staff safe.
If you have a child at home completing school virtually, please be sure to read over the at-home learning expectations below. It is important that this is treated the same as school. They need to be on time, in uniform and must stay for the duration of class. It is not an ideal situation, but in order to receive credit for attendance, all of the guidelines below must be followed.
I pray that you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
God Bless,
Mr. O’Neill
