Dear Parishioners,
Christmas in One Month
I just worked on the Christmas Mass on-line sign-up form. It will go live on December 14th. No reservations will be accepted before December 14th because of the changes happening daily.
Soon, I will work on a letter that will be mailed to households. Many parishioners are not on-line. We'd like them to know what's happening too. Please keep our non-tech savvy parishioners up-to-date throughout the year.
Pandemic
COVIDActNow.org has added a color. Now, a state or county could be rated green, yellow, orange, red, or dark red. As of yesterday, 19 states are dark red; 28 are red; 2 are orange; and Hawaii is yellow. In NJ, all counties are red.
St. Catherine of Alexandria
A martyr and patron saint for lawyers, librarians, philosophers, students, and teachers, this 18 year old debated 50 pagan philosophers who then became Christians as well as 200 soldiers and members of the emperor's family. All of them were martyred. Want to know more about this heroine? Visit

Thanksgiving Is Tomorrow
Could we be thankful for the pandemic? What good could come out of the pandemic? Parents and children can strengthen their relationships. We can reflect upon what is really important. Our appreciation for the Eucharist (which means thanksgiving) can grow deeper.
I'm thankful for my siblings and nephew. I've been getting to know them better this year. I'm thankful for my priest friends. I'm thankful for my health including the ability to run in my middle age. I'm thankful for God's gift of priesthood.
What are you thankful for? Feel free to click on the Reply button.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
