Over the past few months, these messages have intentionally focused on love and unity as the world around us seemed to be heading in a different direction as people fought with each other about the election and the virus instead of joining together to fight the virus and the problems of our world. But, today, this message and this passage from Revelation require you to look back at your actions over the past year—what have your deeds said about you? Have you sought to unify or to divide? Have you thrown people under the bus because of their stance on the pandemic? Have you attacked others on social media or made a habit of being a provocateur with your comments and memes you’ve posted? Have you offered forgiveness to those who have wronged you or have you only grown more angry towards them? Have you yelled at a teacher or coach or administrator because of your anger? Have you donated to those in need this year? Have you been gentle with those who disagree with you and have you been gentle with yourself? Have you loved your neighbor? We will be judged by our deeds, my sisters and brothers in Christ, what do your deeds say about you? I know I’ve got some work to do, so let’s get right
