After receiving word of a potential exposure to Covid-19 within the parish, in-person worship for this weekend is canceled at St. Ambrose. The health and safety of our community is our primary concern. as we await a vaccine and resolution to the ongoing pandemic. Although this may seem disheartening and difficult to read, it is a decision made with each parishioner’s best interest in mind.In full transparency, this is an unconfirmed case of COVID, however I would not feel right in not being proactive for each of us.
As you know from our contact tracing, sanitizing and enforcement of social distancing, I take this very seriously as does each minister in their role in serving the community. That being said, in an effort to do our best to protect everyone, we are collectively making the decision to cancel all in-person worship this weekend.
We encourage you to watch our live stream on Sunday at 9am followed by communion distribution at the entrance to the church outside. Everyone is welcome to stream the mass from their device in the parking lot or from home and arrive to walk up and receive communion.
In order to accommodate you, we are asking that you fill out the
COVID declaration form as you do each week. Alternatively, you are welcome to join one of our neighboring Catholic communities to worship in-person at their church. Please be sure to go to their parish website for all the details on in-person worship.
We hope you understand and respect our decision to cancel in-person worship this weekend and understand the value we place on yours and your entire family’s health. Please watch your email and social media for up to date information from us in the future.
God bless you and thank you for commitment to our community.
