As we move into the Season of Advent, I want to inform you of some things happening in December at Sacred Heart parish.
In addition to confessions being heard on Saturday afternoons in the Church and Wednesday evenings in the Chapel, I will hear confessions on Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel AND on Sunday, December 13, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel. I encourage you to take the opportunity to spiritually prepare yourself for the birth of our Savior.
On Sunday December 13, Gaudete Sunday, there will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel. You may sign up for a specific time slot here or on the parish website. If you cannot commit to a specific time, be sure to just stop by and spend some quiet time with our Lord.
Tuesday, December 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Mass schedule will be a vigil Mass on Monday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. On the Holy Day, December 8, the Masses will be 6:30 & 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Church.
On Saturday, December 5, after the 9:30 a.m. Mass, there will be a half-hour Advent Meditation given by Father Bob Kilner.
Peace,
Father Potts
