Dear Epiphany Parishioners,
I trust that you and your family were able to celebrate last week a peaceful and safe Thanksgiving. Now that we have had a chance to transition into the season of preparation that we call Advent, this is a good opportunity to let you know about Confessions and the Christmas Mass schedule this year.
We are not having our traditional Penance Service at our parish this Advent. We will have additional times for Confessions, which will be the first three Fridays of December (the 4th, the 11th and the 18th) from 5pm - 6:00pm in the church. This is in addition to our regular Confession time of 4pm - 5pm on Saturdays.
As Christmas approaches, we also want to let you know of some additions to our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass schedule. Please know that the holy day obligation is still dispensed at this time in our archdiocese. We are still limited in our attendance capacity, which is at this time 50%. This will allow for each Mass to have the attendance capacity of 750 people in our church and 250 people in our Family Center. In the spirit of preparation this Advent, we know that people want to plan in advance their Christmas celebration.
Christmas Masses will be celebrated at Epiphany according to the following schedule:
Christmas Eve, December 24th (Thurs.):
4:00pm in the Church & in the Family Center
6:00pm in the Church & in the Family Center
9:00pm in the Church only
12:00 Midnight in the Church only
Christmas Day, December 25th (Fri.):
9:00am in the Church & in the Family Center
11:00am in the Church & in the Family Center
In addition, we will live-stream the Christmas Eve Mass at 6:00pm on December 24th. The Mass will also be available to stream anytime afterwards for everyone who will be worshiping with the community in their homes.
We as a community will each do our part to keep one another safe as we offer our best prayers and worship to Almighty God in this most holy Season of Light. Let us also continue to pray for deliverance from this pandemic as well as for a world in need. I look forward to celebrating the divine liturgies of the Season of Christmas with you and yours!
Devotedly yours in Christ,
Rev. Tom Lam
Pastor
