The Pope has called a gathering of bishops across the world (in a meeting called a Synod) that will meet in October 2018, on the topic of "Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment," to talk about how the Catholic Church can better support young people in living their faith and identifying and pursuing their mission in life.
To help Pope Francis and the Bishops prepare for this Synod, they are asking both Catholic and non-Catholic young people across the world to share their experience. To join in, and help out our bishop along the way, we invite you to take this survey as offered by the Diocese of Rochester:

He is particularly interested in the everyday struggles that young adults face, how Church can support young adults in the midst of those struggles, and how the Church can reach out to those who are not engaged in religion to bring them closer to God. St. Catherine of Siena will host a dinner and listening session for youth and young adults (ages 16-29) on Sunday, July 16. This is open to all young adults – those currently engaged in the Catholic faith, those who do not particular regularly, and anyone who is willing to offer their opinions and insights to help inform this Synod. Dinner (good food, drinks, dessert – our treat) will be served at 6 p.m., with the listening session to follow. St. Catherine’s is located at 309 Siena Drive in Ithaca. To reserve your spot at the table, or if you need a ride, email John (Jmorton4@ithaca.edu).
