Wow, our School just keeps on achieving great heights!
Visitation School, along with Catholic School Center of Excellence, recently conducted an activity for the area Catholic Schools, requesting their students write questions to be submitted to Archbishop Hebda, as well as pieces of artwork. The aim
was to gather artwork and questions and pick from the bunch those that will be included with Archbishop Hebda’s answers in a book to be published in the fall of this year.
Our achievement? … multiple students from OLL School are being published!
The question submitted by Ella Vogt, one of our students who just completed Second Grade, was one of only 50 chosen from the lot of roughly 1,000 questions submitted! We also have two Kindergarten artists, Annabelle Johnson and Piper Schlaerth, whose portraits of Archbishop Hebda will be included in the book!
Congratulations to Ella our author, Piper and Annabelle our artists, to our School, and to our Teachers who have helped to shape their inquisitive and artistic minds!
The question, which will be published in the book, is below, but you’ll have to watch for the published book to see the answer from the Archbishop, as well as the artwork!
Dear Archbishop Hebda,
My name is Ella. I go to school at Our Lady of the Lake in Mound. I am in the second grade.
At school my favorite subject is art because you get to be creative. I remember Fr. Tony once saying a Saint is a sinner who keeps on trying.
My question for you is have you ever wanted to explode with kindness but can’t? Or ever wonder why qnobody’s perfect?
Thank you for being our Archbishop. You have been a great Archbishop.
Love,
Ella
